I am not a great fan of the button less handbrake on our 2010 Bailey.

I just dont feel confident with it. Does anyone else have the same feeling?

It works on a cam instead of a ratchet.  In theory it should be subject to less wear an therefore  better longterm.  Not had any problem with mine!

No, we prefer it as it is a lot easier without the button.

The overcenter spring ( energy store ) on proper handbrakes is far more efficient on real couplings rather than the antiquated ratchet style Al-ko used most manufactures left this design 15-20 years ago. Modern handbrakes are stronger, do not have a ratchet to wear out, or a button to damage and when released always fully release rather than sit 1 or 2 teeth up if you did not quite put it all the way down. the only advantage of a ratchet is that you could partly apply if you for some bizarre reason wanted to.

I'm not a fan of it either. I find that it doesn't hold as well as I would like on a steep slope when I let go of the handle, despite holding if I apply a little extra pressure.

Ours works fine, I know what you mean though, I expect its because you havent heard a ratchet clicking on, so expect it wont hold... but it always does !

TBH I prefer the new type.
had no problems with ours and I find it a lot more positive than the ratchet type we had on our old van.
