There was a thread on this subject within the last 7 days.I have looked back on a couple of forms and used the search bar but i cant remember how the the thread began.
Albion caravans at Idle fitted us a detachable wooden bed guard for our upper bunk which will hold back our 4 year old (I'm sure they'd do the same for you if you contact them?). When the new baby arrives in September, I'm planning to put them into the bottom bunk space in a travel cot, then switch them over to the top bunk once they are out of a travel cot at 18 months/2 years.
HI jeff, it was me that posted the thread last week...we have just bought a guard from Kiddcare and will try it this weekend, our baby girl is going on the bottom bunk ( shes 18mth old) with the bed guard covering the gap. HOPEFULLY it will keep her in but i will let you know!!
We are looking for the same sort of thing, not to stop us falling ou the bed but to stop our dogs getting up during the night. Away hopefully this weekend so we might have to resort to buying one.
we had one of the fabric ones, I had to adjust ours, I had to make some new arms to fit the narrow beds in our van, easy enough with some copper pipe, a couple of tent pole springs (the push button clip bits) and some rubber caps for the end.
they may have changed, but I didn't find one narrow enough for our beds, just passed ours on to a friend whos got a little un now.
