Was wondering are the four corner steadies there not only to steady the van when pitched but can you use them as a way to up the individual corner, or would this be putting too muchpressure on the individual steady?
Thanks.

Your corner steadies are just that. They should NEVER be used to level the 'van. Too much pressure on the chassis.

Yes, it would but far to much pressure on them. They are as the name suggests, corner steadies, not jacks.

Grass, wind them down till touching, then a 1/4-to 1/2 turn more to bed in, hard standing, just firmly down.
always use jockey for front back level and ramps/wood blocks for side/side

oh dear...need to rectify this tonight then... or am i too late? (tightened them last night)
how much wobble shoudl there be in a van when you are settled, I was under the assumption that it shoudln't wobble at all (hence the tightening of all corners)

I walk up and down the van and there is no wobble. Wife does the walk and the van wobbles. She blames the corner steadies not being sufficiently tight. Follow timtheenchanter and walk slowly up and down the van

Wind the steadies down firmly but not enough to lift 'van. Plenty put the plastic feet on them but it is better to carry several short lengths of thick wood to go under steadies to give a firm base. It is not good to wind steady down almost vertical, better to pack it with wood.

over use can twist the chassis or damage the floor they are fixed too.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

I used to find that, if I pitched on grass, they might need another half turn the next morning.
