I am travelling from Scotland to Portsmouth. Would appreciate some information on a campsite over night stop, close to the motorway and a couple of hours drive from Portsmouth the following morning.
Hi, we traveled down last year to get the ferry, we left late afternoon and arrived in Portsmouth early the next morning and parked up in the ferry lane,slept there before sailing. Doing this again this year but leaving from Poole this time.

Depends where you are in Scotland and which coast you are coming down . If coming from the Borders you are looking at some hard driving to get within 2 hours of Portsmouth ! Further than that it is a tough way to start a holiday .
