The cold water pressure is fine with a good flow of water but have a problem with the hot water supply only. The system is operated by a pressure switch which has been replaced and also a brand new high flow submesible water pump has been replaced from a standard flow so both these items can be ruled out. When the hot tap is turned on at the kitchen sink, the wash basin or the shower (not at the same time) the hot water supply barely flows and when you turn off the hot tap it takes about 20 seconds for the water pump to switch off. This to me indicates that the hot water system is failing to pressurise as normal. I have been in contact with Truma who can offer little advice and also the technical helpline of the C&C Club. Their reply was that it is either a kinked pipe or a leak. I have checked for both leaks and kinks but can't find anything that should cause this problem. Does anyone have a clue at all as to what the problem may be?

if it is a truma heater there is a slight chance of the non return valve leaking back into the barrel. if so pressure will take longer to maintain.

Dear Sir

The non return valve would be located somewhere on the cold feed to the boiler, the water sounds as if it is backfeeding into the aquaroll and the non return valve will need replacing.

Kind Regards

retry the pressure switch first sometimes it takes a few goes, set up fully as normal.screw gently all the way down clockwise, open the nearest tap fully and turn on the pump, slowly screw out anti clock wise until it just starts a clicking noise and you have a flow of water.stop and close tap.after a few seconds the clicking should stop and the pump light go out and only come on again when a tap is opened.

Yes I have done all that Michael but it still fails to operate properly on the hot water system plus it's not back feeding into the Aquaroll otherwise I would be having the same problem with the cold supply too which I'm not. It's just the hot supply that's malfunctioning which is difficult to identify the cause.

if it is feeding back after the heater has reached its full heat then the pipes on the pump outside will be warm.this is a good indication of feed back.check outside for leaks too when the pump is running.check yellow drain tap is fully closed.

I would be having the same problem with the cold supply too which I'm not.

no only applies to the hot supply.the only other thing i can think of if you have hard water is it is blocked by scale, filling overnight with white wine vinegar and water will cure this.

Hi tango55, as michael post, good tip about the white wine vinegar, must remember that thanks, had same with my hot water side, turned out to be the non return valve from heater, the ball in valve had stuck after opening a little, and flow was a trickle.replaced it and all ok,looked at old one saw there was scale on the ball, must have been there after draining down at the end of season.

I initially thought of the non return valve not operating correctly but Truma dismissed this as being the problem but if it solved your problem then it's probably worth replacing it to see if it does cure the problem.

Michael:  Can you tell me what ratio of white wine vinegar do you need to add to a 40 ltr. Aquaroll of cold water prior to pumping into the water system as I may try this first?
