I got a quote from C&CC's online insurance last week and it states they don't need the CRIS number instantly, you can send it through to them within 7 days (though this only applies online, as I discovered when I tried to complete the purchase over the phone!).
Is the CRIS number not visible on your windows or is this the first time it's been registered? Our dealership sent off the forms at the end of May and we had the notification letter through yesterday so the delay wasn't too long for us.
