 morning all

 went for a liitle ride out yesterday (sunday) just to take alook at the new orion close -up,not impressed,looks nice and cosy,light and quite good,but oh was not happy,lack of storage space and work surface.

 whilst at the dealers took a wander round(as you do) spied a 2007 abbey vogue,fixed bed,1 owner looked after,clean,alarmed etc,oh fell in love with it,just what she wanted,layout ideal for us,priced competively,had a chat with sales man,will take our elldis in part x,give a decent price considering its problem,(DAMP)phone call today all gone thro ,take our old van up so they can change the motor mover over,and 2 awnings,( 1 full and 1 prch)no longer req.pick new van up end of month!!!

 name of dealer -white arches at rushden-praise where praise is due,was treated with high consideration and attention,nothing was too much trouble.

 update on new van

 arranged for tow bar to be fitted next weds at home,good price as well,£270.inc all electrics.

 will be takin our loved elddis up on the 24th for the dealer to change the motor mover over onto the abbey,ready for collection then on 2nd july after full service etc. there will be some tears shed when we finally leave the elddis there,she has done us proud in the time we have had her and we are now looking forward to getting out and about in the abbey more.

 done all my calculations for towing and it comes out mgw of 1300kgs with noseweight of 78kgs which with our vectra estate works out at 84%,power to weight ratio is fine,no problems,all we have to do now is load all our essentials in and then work out the loadings in her for a stable outfit.

 1st trip away will be in august,up north somewhere,not sure yet where,but we will certainly enjoy.
