in april we went away in the van all lights pumps etc worked fine, went away this last weekend, while preparing  (putting things in) the lights would not work, connected the mains left it alone hour later i was informed "you know your caravan lights are on?"

any way away we go plonks our butts down connects to EHU nothing, no lights no pumps no nowt we a slight glow before the lights gave up. all the 12v side was not working. thought it was just a matter of leaving the battery to charge but na, whole weekend no water no tv no lights (ok thats a lie we have 2 that run from mains)the power level on the board was reading nothingbasically right down in the red as far as it could go.

so either: 1 the battery is fubar, i have taken the battery out and connected it to a oximiser 900 says its charging and it is giving out 12.5v, but it appears i believe that the oximiser only works for upto 30Ah so will this give it a step up if completely flat? will it not do anything? will it ever fully charge?

or 2 charger is knacked, the light on the charger switch is on so it thinks its charging.

i have checked the fuse looks ok.

any suggestions?

12.5 is only half charged,see

Looking after your Leisure Battery

Check the state of

charge using a direct

current voltmeter –

12.7 volts indicates a

fully charged battery,

12.3 volts it’s half

discharged and

anything less than

11.8 volts the battery

has fully discharged
