Does the unladen weight include as standard the 2 gas cylinders that would be in the van?

the MIRO of a caravan depends on the make,most say standard equipment.but this sometimes include the gas bottle (think it does now) odd times the battery,odd times the spare wheel of 25 kgs in weight.so the only way is to take it to a weighbridge empty.or apply for handbook with this information. should be on the caravan plate.

On that van the MIRO is the mass as it left the manufacturers no battery, no gas, no water, no spare wheel. Even then they allowed a 5% margin for error so the wieght could be anything in the range of the stated weight plus or minus 5%.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
