Purchased a 1994 Swift Challenger, 5 birth, recently and want to replace the existing carpet with lino and also change the upholstery and curtains. Does anyone have a rough  idea of the cost that would be involved and any local companies/people who would be able to help? I will suppy the lino just need a fitter and cost for fitting.

Caravan stored in Mexborough, near Doncaster.

www.foam.co.uk aka Tockfiled do a good job. You can take the van and stay while they do it.

Not cheap but a very good job done.

Reupholstering is not cheap. What you really want is a friend with a sewing machine.

only paid £ 2K for the van and will keep it for a couple of years, just need to know a rough price to see if it is worth investing some money on the van.

Will definatly do the floor, existing carpet is dark and needs a light lino, the upholstery will depend on cost !

Unless you can get a friend to make some slip covers then I don't expect you will see a lot of change from £1000. When I think of the number of times my late grandmother made a set of covers for my parents caravans and boat over the years she could have been worth a fortune.

i have just done mine will try and find some pics

found some

before

after

bottom (cant push my skills too far lol)

the bottoms unclip so it is easy to remove the covers to wash them and you can't see that the bottom has no fabric when they are in place

I dont have any pictures of all in situ as we have loads of stuff in the van I am planning to take some next time we are away

I know its not great but I had done very little sewing before and spend £83 on fabric just shows if i can do it anyone can :)
