When I am towing the caravan and see another driver coming towards me towing a caravan I have the urge to flash lights or wave at them, am I the only one and would I get funny looks?
I drive a landrover and we always wave to each other (defenders only) i'd never wave at another caravaner though just seems a bit of a sad thing to do tbh, unless it was being towed by a landrover defender.

I have to say I have an overwhelming urge to wave. Not flash lights though, could cause all sorts of chaos and confusion! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a nosy at other peoples outfits as they pass..... would be good manners to acknowledge with a wave too! As previously mentioned on here, other 'groups' do so, so why not?
Friendly bunch are we not? So lets go for it, although on a busy stretch in the school holidays your arm would be up and down like a fiddler's elbow!
We always look out for other caravans when we're on the road, make, model etc. also wonder whether they are all excited to be going away, or a bit glum to be going home ! It doesn't really matter how far you travel, it's always an adventure, even just a couple of nights.
I had a Citroen 2CV when I was 17. They would wave, flash their lights and toot the horn as though every other 2CV driver was the last human alive. They even attached a black ribbon to the door mirrors when Citroen announced the 2CV was being discontinued.
Tupperware trike pushers used to wave to each other - but there are not many about nowadays...
...speaking of seeing other caravanners - notice how you see loads and loads more coming the other way and hardly any the way you're going?
