I recently bought a tub of 'Silky Caravan & Boat, Cream Cleaner'. I have only used it on a test area of my caravan so far and have to say the results are great. But before I go and wash the whole van I just want to know if it is safe to use on the windows?
Ive used silky and it seemed ok,before i did the windows with it i rinsed them well to get rid of fine grit.I use a waterless cleaner on the windows now and i have no probs.
If it doesn't state that it's safe to use on Acrylic windows I would tend to use an alternative product that is safe to use. Too late once the damage has been done.
Nope to tell you the truth i didnt like it,there are better wet cleaners out there, and as you will know i wouldnt use anything else except showroom shine on the van as well as the windows..

It does not mention anything about the windows! Having said that it does say it is a non-abrasive cleaner which I imagine should be safe for windows.
Anyway it looks like it could be next week sometime before I tackle the rest of the van and I will let you all know how it goes!
Anyway the van cleaned up well and it did a great job of removing the black streaks and seems OK on the windows too. I will definitely use it again though the finish is not as 'silky' as I was expecting so will maybe invest in a good wax. Any recommendations?

I agree what a fantastic product .After trying the usual ones this was recommended to me by a friend in the trade and now I wouldn't use anything else
