Hi

We have a Sterling Europa 530 2008 in excellent nick but for one thing.  After unwrapping her for the season, we have issues with the paint finish on the front locker.  The whole thing was covered in brushed cotton sheets before wrapping up and we have never had issue with damage to paintwork before.  The paint seems to have gone lumpy.  It is almost as if the thing has been taken back to the pre rubbed down state when the fibreglass is still lumpy.  The paint looks fine, it is not bubbling but looks like it is (no air under lumps) and is still shiny and glossy (no scratches).  It only affects a section of the locker not the whole thing.  We are at a complete loss!  Any ideas what caused this (can't have been rubbing as it was well protected) and how we sort it out?

TBH I havn't a clue. So  this is just a shot int he dark.Could it be the extremes of temp we had over the winter ? Maybe moisture got in then froze then melted. Leaving damage but the cause can't be found. I would book it in at the dealers to have this investigated. (maybe you could just take the locker door and not the whole caravan) Your body/paint work has a 5 yr guarantee

Sounds like osmosis. Not uncommon on boats but never seen it on a caravan before.
