Hi All

It is getting closer for us to buy a caravan,we want a 2 berth with end wash room,motor mover is a must plus an awning.I am torn with 3 vans we have seen.

Avondale,Swift,Abbey. not sure which to choose they all have what we require,which is the better,they are all the same year 2000.and vary in price.any help to help us decide would be appreciated. thanks

Bertha is a 1999 Abbey - a 5 berth admittedly but we love her to bits. She is well made, dry as a bone and her condition reflects her advancing years. I'd recommend the Abbey, but I'm very biased!!

Cant go wrong with a swift,i think with the other two i would be thinking of dealerships and parts..

There is the Coachman 450 2 berth also to consider too which has the end washroom. Coachman are renown for their build quality but if it's a 2000 model you are looking for then the unladen weight is much lighter than the later models. Mine is a 1999 model and has a 984 kgs.unladen weight (MIRO) and 1300 kg. fully laden (MTPLM).

I would choose the Abbey because we had 1999 Abbey Vogue 217 before and really loved it, no probs, better built than the one we have now but I wanted a fixed bed.

Then I would go Swift

avondale are no more although some parts are available swift and abbey are the same but more likely the swift will have more parts around and then theres swift talk
