Normally top bunks usually have a 8 or 11stone limit can't remember ( wether I'd put someone on it that heavy I don't know) bottom no limit really except for length obviously.

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
It's more of a long term plan than an immediate purchase... Will need to do some serious saving up... I didn't realise the bunks had a weight limit until I went in another van with bunks... We thought if we used the bunks, it would save us setting the beds up each evening, and leave the seating for just that, seating.. However, the weight limit on the bunks may put an end to that idea...
most uk van bunks arent suitable for adults, they are too narrow and short as well as having a weight limit. Foreign vans (like Adria) have bigger adult sized bunks.
Also, personally I wouldnt want to be spending the amount of money involved with an Orion then making do with a bunk.

I think if we were to get one, we'll be waiting 3 or 4 years, and go for picking up a second hand one... Near to clear my current loan before going getting another In the meanwhile, think it'll be a different model of trailer tent, maybe next year or the year after... Going to camperlands next weekend to have a nosey... An Olympe next maybe as a stepping stone to a van purchase in the future maybe... In the meanwhile, I'll keep lusting for an Orion.
Thanks all for the advice on the bunks, off to google an Adria with adult sized bunks that can be towed by our C-Max next... (So long as my boss doesn't catch me on ukcs rather than doing what I'm getting paid for)...
It's a love hate relationship... The OH isn't keen on the DD sleeping in an underbed tent yet (too young? not safe enough? etc - all bobbins), I'd like to get greedy and have a bed each - crawling over the OH to get out to go for a pee, or over her to get into bed I'm really not enjoying... Last time we went it took us two hours from arrival to sitting down with a drink, which isn't too bad, think the Olympe will make it quicker and solve the bed problem, and give us a proper cabin with a table... But, I think I've made my mind up that I want a van, (or to go back to a normal tent rather than trailer tent - wet packing away will be a myther with a trailer tent - we don't have room to pitch it at home)... And I really like the idea of just turning up a site with a van whatever the weather, and not having to worry about packing it away dry... Think we'd get a lot more use out of a van during those wet weekends when camping isn't an option... But, I do like the Stratos, big and roomy, and looks great...
