Due to ill health, first trip out in caravan (Avondale Mayfly) this year.

Couple of niggles which I would appreciate advice on;

1. Water pump (submersible) - working fine last trip out, no power at all now! Checked wiring, fuse - all ok. Is there are pressure switch in the Mayfly? (location?)

2. Loo door fitting - Catch fell apart, anybody recommend replacement?

3. Corner Steady - Overwound! Can this be repaired or does it require new leg?

4. Satellite dish - Having trouble obtaining satellite signal. Tried gadget to locate but

    still having problems. Anybody suggest an easier way to set up dish correctly?

I have tried reading up on these points before posting this request, but would appreciate the words of wisdom from other site members.

Regards

Bev x

No 1 On the water pump brass male + terminals insert a knife/screwdriver to spread them apart [just a little].

2 cannot help

3 ditto

4 Have a look at this site and take a copy of satellite direction/elevation angles.

 Usually I can be aiming too high or abroad too low - remember as you move around these things change. I use a compass, a level [for elevation angle] and this B&Q SLX Satfinder [http://search.diy.com/search#w=satellite finder&asug=Satellite]

Always use the compass before you site to check that there is a CLEAR view to the Satellite. If you are still having problems I would check your lead connections are still OK.

What Skybox are you using?

If it's an Avondale specific question,. that is difficult as they are no longer trading.  However, it might be worth contacting Raymond James in Carlyon Rd, Atherstone.  They have bought/rented part of the old Avondale factory as their showroom/service dept. Several of their service engineers worked foe the old Avondale company, so I guess might be able to help.
