Hi everyone, Just bought one of these http://www.coolmycamper.com/ and thought I'd pass it on to anyone interested.
I've been looking for something like this for ages as my van wont take a roof mount and an underbunk units seem like a huge hassle to fit.
Used it last weekend in the blistering 29c heat and it kept my 24ft baily provence at a very comfortable 23c througout the day (sun beating on the front window blinds)and took it down to 19c when the sun went in which was great.
A bit bigger than I thought but a lot smaller than a monoblock unit and very quiet as the compressor hangs outside the window. Don't know how it will fare in 35c+ heat but it must be better than nothing at all ,which is what we had last year in cannes :( .
Will be giving it an extended test when we go to cornwall next week (if its sunny) so will post the results when I get back.
It looks like a great idea and reasonably priced. A couple of queries when using it abroad - some continental campsites only provide 3 amps so it might not work? And some campsites ban the use of aircon overnight as it's noisy for other campers (La Tournerie, for example.) As it's smaller than the usual units, neither of these things might be a problem.

It only uses about 1.5 amps and is a lot quieter than the roof mount units , I can't imagine that the noise would bother anyone , we had no complaints at the weekend :)
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
