Hello,

We previously owned a Mehler awning that had steel poles and on the end of each pole was a hook that could be used with a bracket to allow the pole to attach to the caravan.  However, we did not fix a bracket onto our caravan.  Instead we bought some rubber sucker pads that were able to cover over the end of the hook to allow the poles to attach to the caravan without causing damage.  They seemed to work well unless there were strong winds.
