Thanks for replying to the questions,
Further questions,
1. Have you tried to vent the system? The level in the expansion tank when the system is cold should not be below the minimum, when hot it could rise above the max level by a small amount.
2. If you think the circulation pump does not work, you could check any fuses in the system, or if you have a multimeter, check if there is 12 volt to the pump when the system is running.
3. There is a thermostat in the boiler which prevents the water temperature rising above 70 deg Celcius, if you are not able to get hot water or central heating this will switch the boiler off quite quickly after starting it. This is normal, therefore the circulation problem must be solved first.

Hi Jennifer,

How do i vent the system?

The level in the tank when cold is the right level, The circulation pump is definatly not working as i have got it off the carvan and tested it, there is power going to the pump when it is conect to the caravan boiler.

I have been trying today to get a new pump, which i should have sorted tomorrow hopefully, when it arrive i will fit it and hopefully this will solve the problem with the water pumping out of the tank.

Hi, there should be vent valves fitted to the pipes which goes to the radiators. On our system they look like this photo:

Hmmm.   That's strange!    Are you able to access every inch of the pipework? Sometimes a vent may be hidden in an unlikely place.

I have found some more operating instructions, but they are for the electronic controller. OH will translate and post any info that he thinks could be relevant to your control panel.

Is there a possibility you can contact the previous owner to ask how you operate the system?

Hi allycath1,
thi is translation from Swedish from a manual found on line by oh:

Control Panel 719081 Function:

1. Selecting one gas flame, the boiler will give 2.1 or 4.2 3kW
2. Selecting two gas flames, the boiler will give 6.3
3. Selecting one El symbol, the electric cartridge gives 1 kW
4. Selecting two El symbols, the electric cartridge gives 2 kW
5. Selecting Gas ( 1 or 2) and at the same time 1 or 2 El, electricity will first be used and then gas if needed for heating.
6. If the Tap symbol is selected, then the central heating is disconnected and only hot water is heated, limited by the hot water thermostat. To achive this the isolation valve to the central heating must then be closed.

Thes instructions are for the electronic panel and may not be correct for your installation

Hello all. I'm new to this forum. (and moderator elsewhere).

at allycath1:

Hello.
For 1/2 a year i do own a Abi Award Sunstar. Inside is mounted a Primus 2450 heater.
I do have some issue with that. Not yet fired up.

I saw your posting, saying you do have a Dutch manual.
Not able to read it.

As i'm dutch and live in The Netherlands, i'll be verry happy to have this manual, or just a copy / pdf.

Please let me know, if we can make a deal. :)

Regards, Paul-RT.
(sorry, couldn't find a email option).
