We recently bought a second hand awning - cant remember the name but its like a tent - 2 windows and this is the first time we have used it....

It was great! We did 6 days in Whitby (Broadings Farm - left a review) followed by 5 days in Barnard Castle (Doe Park - left a review) and it was like having your own conservatory! We also had an inner with it so I slept in it every night on my air bed so it felt like proper camping but with the luxury of everthing in the caravan.

However, we were a bit ashamed because we are soooo messy - we have 4 all different camping chairs and an old wooden camping table - some of the other awnings had colour co-ordinated furniture to match the colour of their awnings! we even saw tall vases with fresh flowers and fruit bowls! Must try and do better next time!!!!

I agree with Jeff - it matters not!  You need to do what you are comfortable with.  The only rule on here seems to be don't forget to take a bottle opener and corkscrew!!
