We've got both, I find the duvet better in the warmer months & the sleeping bags better when it's cold as you don't get any draughts, they're also better when you're annoyed with the OH because you can do the zip up to the top
We use rectangle sleeping bags (unzipped) The end bunk is made up for our daughter so we can close her bedroom off & we use the front sofas as singles, so its a quick removal of the back cushions, put pillow & sleeping bag down - bed made!
Duvets everytime... I want the homely feeling rather than the camping feeling when away in the 'van.
Cheers
Richard

Life is a Roller coaster and we will be on loads this year...
We always use sleeping bags for the simple reason that a duvet is much bigger and thicker which requires much more storage room. I roll up the sleeping bags in the morning, put 2 bungee chords around each of them to keep them tight then store both sleeping bags under the one seat. The pillows go into a nylon zipped bag which then go under the opposite seat. I know people like the luxury of a duvet but as long as you get a good nights sleep then that's all that matters really and I always seem to sleep better in the caravan than I do at home anyway.
Looks like a trip to the shops to buy 2 single duvets. We have got a spare double summer duvet so may take that as well,we will have spare if anyone drops in on us.
Why not take some bedding from home to start with and see how you get on? If you like using them you can always go out and buy some just for the caravan. I much prefer to use sheets and duvets, always feel hemmed in using a sleeping bag.
We used to use sleeping bags, but the big ones were a pain to wash.
We then went over to a double duvet, but rather than a sheet, we used a single duvet in cover underneath. It was just the right size to cover the whole cushion area.
Now we have a fixed bed we use a stretchy fitted sheet.
