we just bought static van an its all fitted for 12volt so thats a bonus but it has saunier deval? water boiler an we need instructions as to how it works?? gas is there an piolet light on but it wownt ignite to heat water??????????? thx for any help guys xx
It probably works like a instantaneous water heater, water flow causes a diaphragm to lift the gas valve, make sure you have a good flow on the hot water circuit.
May have a split diaphragm, may need a gas engineer to take a look. The only thing you can do is to make sure the pilot is lit, control knob turned to full gas, just out of interest, is there a electric supply T9 your boiler , some only work through water flow.
Sounds very much as though the thermo couple has burned out. Check out on ebay for a replacement for the specific model you have - or failing that a specialist boiler supplier. Cost you less than £5 to replace if you know how.....not difficult.
No its not a thermocouple, that is the safety device designed to monitor the pilot light , if the pilot light goes out the thermocouple has to cut the gas within 60seconds, if the pilot is stopping on then the thermocouple is fine , if as stated earlier if the pilot is on then the diaphragm is most suspect, I am a qualified gas engineer.
thx simon, pilot light is on, but there is something im not doing right ive used this type of bioler befor an just cant for the life of me remember how the hell to do it, i need instructions really as its an old boiler an its all been servised befor we got the stactic that its in, but im really struggling to find instructions on net??
saunier deval its old one, simon, prob bout 20odd yrs old, i went in a van at coast few yrs ago an it had same but for life of me cant remember how to get it going, we have pilot lite on but when water is turned on at tap it dont kick in to warm it as it should do xx
just bought a shurflow 45psi pump, going to put water barrel/tank up high so its gravity fed to the pump an then once pump is switched on all it has t do is push water to boiler, do you think this will help ??????????????
