we're due to go away next sat morning for a week but lo and behold Ive been floored by a chest infection.im usually prone to these in the autumn or winter but this is the first Ive had in the summer.the bummer for me is they always usually last about ten days which takes us till a week on tuesday meaning i may have to postpone part of our holiday or cancel altogether and go later.

you will be fine ,us scots are made of strong stuff and you are needing a break ,i was at killin for a week with the worst cold ever and just the relax made it all bearable and i enjoyed the holiday ,go for it
we have had to cancel sadly as its not clearing up at all and i have to go back to the gp's next monday.and gp has stated a caravan holiday wouldnt do me any favours whatsoever so no bamburgh this year.

Can you get in later maybe a cancellation if its full, as anything can happen to anyone as its happened to you or will you not get the time off even if your sick.

Can you get in later maybe a cancellation if its full, as anything can happen to anyone as its happened to you or will you not get the time off even if your sick.
ill get my holidays back from my employer as we cannot be off sick and on holiday at the same time.so on that score i will still have my hols to take.whether im well enough before the kids go back to school is another thing though time will tell though

hi fife-bloke, why not take the van to a local site like pettycur bay ,leven or the like and still take your main holiday when you are better, that way the family have a beach and not far for to go to your appointment.
Good luck with the weather just come back from a 14 days break 4 days sunny and the rest very wet indeed we were near a place called Great Corby in Cumbria do i need to say more ????

thanks alison youve had a much harder time than me though i actually felt bad about moaning after reading what happened to your family.Im glad your hubbys getting home though thats one weight of your mind and hopefully his recovery will be just as swift

hi myra,im actually toying with popping up to forfar for a four day stint when i get the all clear from the doc they usually have midweek pitches on the site we usually go to up there.at least it will be something
