On our first hol since service and water won't heat up on hook up. It's working ok using gas will it be a fuse blown you think? Switch underbunk was on when we arrived so seems as though service centre may have checked it but left it on so could this be the reason?

aha, we did that once, forgot to turn the switch off, and couldnt work out why it wouldnt work next time. As mez says.....its the old IT support method..... turn it off for 5 minutes to allow it to reset, then try again.

it should rest itself after a short time if not the element could have failed.check all fuses first.check also it has not tripped out on the main box. ------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

It sound like it has tripped out. As other have said it needs to be left to reset. To be sure totally disconnect the EHU and reconnect and leave for min of 30 mins before switching back on. Make sure the tank is full. It should be ok. It is part of the safety mechanism to stop boiling dry.
