In a holdall then hang them when we get there ,the weight of clothes will have a big effect on the weight of the van and the towing performance as the wardrobe /clothes are high up and not always over the axle.
I am just watching the man (yes, really) from the caravan opposite, putting all his and wife's clothes in the car boot. I must admit we don't and have never had any problems with clothes falling. The whole rail once fell out on a different caravan.

I have a better idea, become a naturist...voila!! No clothes needed no hangers required and reduces the weight of the van too
