Had our 'new to us' van serviced today & can now heave a sigh of relief that it's been given a clean bill of health. No expensive repairs or problems anywhere.
Our house has looked like a caravan accessory shop for the last 3 weeks as there was no point putting all our stuff in the van then having to empty it again for the service. So we've spent this afternoon putting everything in. It feels more like a little 'home' now it has things in the drawers & cupboards!
And of anyone around Manchester/Cheshire/Lancashire needs a good mobile engineer we can recommend Caramedic: http://www.caravanservicing.com/index.htm He's a properly qualified engineer, nice guy & charges really reasonable rates (£135 for a single axle service).
Woohoo congrats , always a worry when they have a service , especially when it's a new to you van, so glad it's all good, and you can make it your little home now
Enjoy :) x

No I know! but there is always that what if they find damp or something like that, especially if you buy private, so it is a relief when you know your purchase is sound.

Thanks everyone. It was more nerve-racking with us buying it privately. It 'felt' right but until he confirmed it was a sound van there was always that small chance we'd bought a lemon!
Off to Cornwall in just over 3 weeks so now we can really start to look forward to it
