Sorry for being thick :)

We've had our van a year (Swift Azurra 1995) and have alternated between EHU one trip then running off battery the following trip.  We have a really little solar panel that plugs into a socket next to the power socket for the TV

For the first time this weekend (after 2 weekends on the bounce of battery only) our battery went into the yellow and we couldn't get hot water or lights.  It didn't matter at the time as it was the Sunday an we were making tracks anyway but my husband decided we would buy a gennie as a back-up.

So, the gennie was bought & brought home (Kipor 900) and I keep reading on various forums that you can "charge your battery u direct from your gennie" but I don't understand how to do that????

Can anyone tell me how to charge the battery up from the gennie?  Also, how do you charge the battery up not usung a gennie.

Thanks

If you can charge the battery straight from the gennie you should have a lead usually with Alligator clips on one end that plugs into the 12v outlet, you may have to purchase it seperately.

If you don't have the 12v lead then you use a battery charger from the 230v side.

For future reference, if you connect the caravan to the car and select "car" on your control panel, you can use from the car battery.

Only for an emergency though!

Thanks for that - that's really useful to know.
