I currently have 2 awnings, 1 proch and one full, both have all sides which can unzip and remove.
I am looking to buy a tall annex to attach to the side of both depending on which I use which I will use as a dining area.
The daft question!!
If I buy a universal annex will it fit. i.e. are all the side zips on all awnings the same? Both my awnings are the same make so they are the same zips.
The reason I ask is that I know zips can come in many different sizes for example on my full awning the zips used on the side are a different size to those used on the front (so I know which panels go where i guess).
I hope this makes sense.
Cheers

The make of both awnings are Starcamp / Dorema and the full panel comes out of the sides.
So how air tight are they if they only connect to the poles and not the zips! I have had a look at the manufacturers site and they no longer make my awnings so I am not sure the newer models will fit so thought about a universal.

I have a Dorema Sirocco which is no longer made. I rang Dorema, who were extremely helpful and told me which models would fit my awning. You can then either order from them or, as I did, look for the right model on Preloved etc.
we have an old isabella awning and wanted an annex for it, we needed a pre-unicut model which are loner made and rare as hens teeth so went for the universal.
In my experience it wasn't that great, fine if the weather is good but when faced with rain/wind and we ended up with water coming in. Maybe they just aren't well suited to my awning.
In the end I just watched the ebay listings and picked up a pre-unicut which is much better. If the new models won't fit give ebay a try, isabella was very good at providing the annex part numbers that would fit my model so I was sure I was buying the right type.
Other than that you can get an annex made, I looked at the canvas repair centre as other forum members have had good experiences having awnings altered. I was quoted £300 for a tall annex that would be made to match and zip in. They would need a side panel of the awning and charged £30 for the pp
Thanks for the replies. I think I will give the manufacturer a call to see if any of the new ones will fit and try and get one either from them/dealer or source a used one.
sounds like the universal has gaps that I don't want.
Thanks again for your help.
