Hi
Anyone fitted net curtains, if so what are the pros and cons of doing this, we just want to keep the mossies out.
Any help gratefully received.
Still not been out with the van yet as wife is now ill and awaiting an angiogram, has to go in in a couple of weeks to get it done and get results but still enjoying the van as we can use it on storage site as we are the only ones.
Most caravans have mesh blinds for that purpose - I am surprised yours doesn't have them. Net curtains may work but they may be too light and end up blowing around.
We have a French built caravan (2008 Trigano Silver 310),
this came with both nets & mozzie blinds as did our previous French van (Fleurette Tamaris).
We like the nets, seem to suit the van well. If you want to prevent them blowing about & be better for keeping flying creatures out, just thread a flexible wire through a top & bottom hem. You can still pull them back if you want, but if you open a window keep them pulled across.

Hi UKTech, Cant help with netting, your wife will need a break after the angiogram, as she will be instructed not to lift any thing that will strain the arm, for a period of 6 weeks ( that also includes driving, if she drives ) good luck and keep us posted.

Not net cutains in mine but went on ebay and got some netting and have the bits in the van secured them to the wall and on window some clear seal sealent to hold them in place. so when window open the netting is not to tight but not flapping about. done it like that as do it the way they say around the frame the velcro bits go funny and twisted after a few times as you have to pull the net off to release the window latches. I'll get some pics when I put them back up at the moment no panel sorting some damp out. i'll look for the recipt and put the name of the nets down. Even put them rond the roof vents as mine don't have the screen
same as these

Hi
Thanks for that, we know about stent fitting as I had one 11 years ago.
Had mine done in the U.S of A and 4 days after I drove 460 miles up into Canada and then flew home the same night and then drove from Gatwick up to the east coast after we landed in the morning, they take a different view of it in the states and say that you leave hospital a lot fitter than you were before you went in, and if you were driving before you had it done there's no reason why you shouldn't drive afterwards. They say you shouldn't lift anything very heavy or strain a lot for a few weeks but basically do everything else as normal (Their citizens go back to work after a week). I was passed by the car hire company (National) and their car insurance company together with the medical insurance company (based in England) to do all the above and I'm still here.
Thanks for your advise but the wife doesn't drive anyway.
