We are putting our caravan into storage for the first time this year, and I wondered if anyone had any hints and tips regarding this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If possible, put winter wheels on it - that avoids the caravan tyres being stuck on one spot all winter. It's not possible with all storage facilities, so check yours (ours isn't possible as he sometimes has to move our van to get others out).
Will it be undercover?
Check their insurance carefully, what it covers etc. Some storage facility insurances will not cover you if you leave the gas bottles in etc, we have to take ours home with us. Also check your insurance, there are some storage facilities that insurers don't like (a friend of mine had insurance shoot up from £220 stored on her drive all year, to £460 at the storage facility six miles away!).

Check if the storage site is cassoa registered they have bronze/silver/gold grades ours is gold and we get a 5% reduction on our insurance policy its not really cheap at £600 a year but it is undercover and manned during the day
One suggestion , dont park it up all winter ... use it . We use ours all year round , nearly all caravans have a fitted heater , if not and you are going to a pitch with EHU buy a small fan heater . All caravans made in the last few years are well insulated and you cant beat looking out on a morning and seeing frost or snow on the ground while you are nice and snug with a mug of tea or coffee in your hand. Using it all year round means less chance of damp getting a hold
