Hiya folks
Has anyone turned their tin box into a picture of loveliness?
I'm looking for some inspiration to do up our van and wondered if anyone has any pics theyd like to share?
Many folks will want to sell on their vans and then buy better and so they are loathed to possibly devalue their units by pimping them.
I personally think this is a shame because if more folks did so, there would not be the large amount of anonymous vans being stolen each year.
Our folding camper does not have much metalwork to "pimp" it, but what there is has been modified for our own prefrence and I could spot it anywhere, even in a line up of other FCs.
THESE could be easily modified to put on the side of a van.
Now those would really be noticed!
I've seen quite a few old ones on fleabay just lately that had been shabby chic'd and looked lovely.
If id spent many thousands on my pride n joy tho I might think differently. Resale value and all that.
Im more interested in the older vans of a few hundred pounds that would be one step from the scrap yard.
Hi KimC, I paid £500 for my caravan plus full awning last year at the height of the season. It has a dated exterior but I have modernised the interior. Have a look at my gallery for a couple of photos.
Fallenangel has pimped hers, and it's fab like a pink French fancy :D it's wonderful , see if you can find her posts and have a look.

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.

Tracey that looks lovely! Did you do the carpet and recover the seats yourself? Very impressive! Mines a bit similar looking to yours.
Thanks for the piccies :-)

Hi KimC, yes did it myself, just took my time over the winter. I managed to get the material in Dunelm Mill for the curtains and the covers, £40, carpet £30 - could have got cheaper but its a good carpet, got the same one on my stairs.
I didn't do it. Its an 80s Monza, cheapie off ebay. Service of wheel bearings/brakes & new tyres & we have just towed it 2800miles thru France & into Spain, does the job for warm weather. If we get 4-5yrs out of it & then scrap it, it will have bin worth it.
van looks good Tracey, my plan is to give mine a bit of a freshen up and get shot of my pink curtains over the winter. Plus lift the carpet, do the floor delamination job as a precaution and then lay vinyl tiles
Thank you, I must admit the tiles are probably a better idea for keeping clean, you can always put down fitted rugs that can be easily lifted and cleaned.
