Hi GAYNOR68, not much to go on, will try a few things, if you had travelled without fridge on, Could be fridge fluid had not settled before it started to freeze after switching on, on site. If household fridge is transported, fridge needs to stand for about an hour, before switching on to let fluid return to reservoir, you may have damaged elements, or if on site van has to be level for fridge to work properly, afraid that’s all I can help with, some of the other members should be able to help.

If it needs radical attention, switch it off, pull it out. Take care not to fracture the pipes, it's ok if you have a bit of a flexi tube connection, called a lunken pipe. Turn it upside down and leave it for half an hour. You will hear gurgling noises as the liquid gas in the pipes moves about. Then turn it back the right way and leave it to settle for at least another half an hour. The pipes in smaller fridges go 'dry' and that is often the cause of this, and why it works when you turn them upside down.
As it's been so hot, it might just be that you have opened it too much! I know that sounds silly, but the cold air is heavy and each time you open the fridge, it escapes from the bottom. So could simply be that. You'd know if it was cold all the way down the first time you open it in the morning.
