we have 4 keys to our van, i carry one, OH the other, on at home and a full spare set of keys in the car, with hitch and clamp keys to.
i used to forget to take the breakaway cable off, did this a few times
Each year our first weekend away is 6 miles down the road. We check all the gear, and more than likely we have forgotten something. A few years ago, before mobiles, we unpacked our van of all camping gear only to find both bags of tent poles were nowhere to found.As I set off home to find them OH and the kids waved me goodbye as I pulled away.After spending 3 hours ransacking the loft, the garage under the beds and the seller, not a pole in sight. I travelled 6 miles back to the site only to find the tent erected. As I drove away from the site no wonder the wife and kids were waving to me,the poles were under the back of the van and were revealed when I pulled away. What a Plonker
