We are really pleased with our Series 7 Burgundy but to my mind the position of the 13 Amp socket by the sink isn't in the safest place. We tend to connect our kettle there but I am very mindful of the scalding risk should it ever get accidently knocked over. Has anyone moved the socket or modified the edge of the worktop to improve things? I have read somewhere that it has been done but can't recall it.

Not sure how your set up looks, but would it be possible to add a socket in a better position? Extra sockets are always useful.
