Hi

I'm in the process of buying a Lunar Clubman 530l (year 2000) but can't seem to find what I should use as the mattress for the top bunk.
Does anyone know where/what this is?

Thanks

If its the same as my Lunar top bunk its about 2ft wide, 2ins deep, 6ft long, and in sections sewn together within one cover so that it will fold like a Z shape when not in use to be stowed in the under the bed locker.

If you need to make one, head down to your local Dunhelm store, and they will sell the foam inserts (approx 2ft x 2ft)  and reasonably priced fabric to cover it, I used polycotton curtain lining to do mine, as grandkids were complaining that the one supplied with the caravan wasnt deep enough to be comfortable, so i invested in some 4ins deep foam instead. the whole lot cost me less than £20 complete.

Forgot to mention that in an emergency (such as a wet bed lol) i have in the past used the cushion off a garden recliner chair/sunbed which also works well for smaller kids as they tend to be a bit shorter!

Thanks Julia

Hoping to pick it up later this week so I'll have a proper look.

Well we've gone and bought it despite it's condition on the inside. To be honest it just need's some TLC and a damn good clean. Now the work begins I need to source the following items mirrors, wheel clamp, hitch lock and ramps. I'm happy with mirrors and have plumped for Milenco's but I am struggling on the other items. Not picked the van up yet either and can't find the size of the wheels anywhere so I can buy a clamp. Any advice good bad or other would be most appreciated. We had got to grips with tenting and then trailer tenting but were out of our comfort zone at the moment although looking foward to the adventure.
