On holiday this year, a lorry knocked off the rear high marker light on our Elddis 636 avante. After many weeks ,we managed to get a replacement but long story short, in the meantime, water got in and shorted not only the caravan lights but the car lights. Called out breakdown to site and he isolated aforesaid light and put a new fuse in car, which had blown. so lights on car and remaining lights on van were working. I thought that once the light was replaced and a new cover and bulb fitted on that the high marker lights would come back on. but this is not the case all other lights on car and van are working. Is this a fault in the car, the van or the towbar electrics ? any advice welcome. ( I am quite good at this sort of thing and have double checked the connections to the fittings and they are all in the right place and secured)
He's probably cut the wire off somewhere. It would be somewhere accessible as he must have got their to cut it. I'd try looking for a cut wire or two inside any nearby lockers, under the bunks nearby or underneath the caravan.
