Hi, I go off on my own with the kids & dog quite a lot as we run our own business & hubby can't always get away. My kids are older 12 & 7 which is slightly easier. We spent 2 weeks in the New Forest in August, hubby stayed for the first week then he went home but the kids & I stayed for the another week. I then took down the full 3 meter awning, packed up & towed home. No probs! In fact the packing up part was less stressful without him there!! 
If you do get stuck with anything I have always found in general that fellow campers are happy to help. Good luck but I am sure you will be fine
