If I have the carpets in the 'van I simply take them up and give them a good beating outside much like my Nan used to do before she realized that vacuum cleaners were not a sign of laziness. A quick wipe over of the vinyl with a damp cloth and sometimes one of those Pledge floor wipes to add a bit of shine. Carpets get vacuumed when I eventually get home.

It might be a nice idea if site owners had a vacuum they could hire out at say £1 a time which would soon cover the cost and save their guests taking one with them.

Hi

After previously using an Electrolux upright, then changing to a Vax cyclinder, no complaints with either on cleaning just the weight issue and storage, so last week I bought a Bissell carpet sweeper from Argos, cost £10, for use in the van, I have used it everyday at home to try it out, I'm impressed with it and would recommend, very light weight does the job. I will still hoover through with Dyson when we get back, and van goes back to storage.

Catch you later!!!
