newbie here

looking at awnings  will a 950 size be too big for my 895 awning size

i know there is a certain lee-way but is this too much

thanks

Our awning size is 895 & we have a Towsure Insignia Awning which is 885-909 & is a very good fit. I think with a 950 the roof would be drooping & would be prone to puddles if it rains.

It would be much too big, you would have nearly two feet of canvas too much. A 900cm awning would be perfect for it.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Measuring your Van

Your awning measurement or 'A' measurement will be in your hand book for your caravan. If you don't have a hand book then the correct way to ascertain the 'A' measurement is to measure from X to Y, ground to ground, along the caravan channel (as shown by the dotted line on the diagram). Then use our table below to find the right size of awning for you.
