hi we are thinking of getting a mover on the caravan but have looked at 2 we could afford enduro but it only has a 5 yr parts warranty and powrtouch compact one is £699 enduro and the pt is £799 we have just had a new clutch on our honda crv 1200 about 15 month ago and when we reversed onto an incline when we went way we smelled burning and we dont want that to keep happening as we know it shortens the clutch life it had a 2 yr warranty we took it to dealers on sat they test drove it but said it felt ok and wasnt slipping we just think its a better option getting a mover than burning out the clutch bt who has had experience of these 2 movers we just seen a video of the enduro which looked good all help is appreciated thanks
I've got an Enduro on my Delta and if it can shift that it will manage most things. Other than when I first had it fitted the only problem I have had is the friction drive slipped slightly when I was trying to move the van uphill in a downpour. It certainly makes single caravanning a lot easier especially when hitching up or levelling.

I have got a Powrtouch mover which I have had for just over 5 years. The only problem I have had was one of the wires in the controller came away. A quick phone call and was told to send it to them and it was returned in 6 days as good as new.
It is now on my second Caravan and may soon be moved to another one.
We have a Enduro not had any problems and a good price, we fitted it ourselves ( ok I didn't hubby did) really happy with it.

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
I had a Powertouch fitted to my single axle four 4 years and used it in all weathers including snow, I now have the Powertouch 4 x4 quad mover that is also excellent. There after sales service is fantastic, personally I wouldn't have ant other mover.
I agree, the power touch has my vote. (although never used enduro) We had one on a previous caravan with no problems at all. Just bought another caravan with a a power touch mover on with 4 years guarentee left on it. Had the guarentee transferred into our name for £40. They remembered us from the last time. Fantastic aftersales care! We had same problem with burning clutch, would never be without mover now. I'm sure whichever one will do the job nicely!
Before settling on either of those, take a look at the E-GO mover. It is a really robust and well engineered mover. If you have basic DIY skills you can fit it yourself in a few hours. I fitted mine whilst parked up at the Clumber Park CC site in 2 hours. Not bad for a 54 year old (at the time) with a replacement knee.
I have a Powrtouch which I bought several years ago and fitted myself. I have since transferred it to another caravan. While I purchased it from Powrtouch, I used their price match against an Enduro mover, opting for the Powrtouch since their customer service was supposedly legendary.
Initially, I contacted them by email regarding the price match, but got no response... maybe I should have questioned the customer service at that point. I did give them a phone call though and they were very good (though you would expect that they were hoping to get several hundred pounds off me)
When we looked to change our caravan though, I was considering one with a BPW chassis. Before committing to it, I thought it wise to give powrtouch a call to confirm the mover would fit and whether I would need an additional fitting kit.
When they eventually answered the phone and I got through to the technical department, they did not seem able or willing to answer a pretty simple question like "will I need an additional fitting kit for a BPW chassis" I didn't think that "you might" classified as the sort of answer one would expect from the technical department. When I asked how much it would cost for a fitting kit, I was told it depended on which one I need.
For a company who have legendary customer service, I was hoping I might have got a straight answer. I certainly wouldn't want to pay extra money for a mover on the basis of getting that sort of customer service.
On the subject of the e-go mover, I understand that the Towsure branded mover is the same item with a little badge engineering. I also seem to recall it is £100 cheaper than the e-go too.
I stand corrected, I see the e-go has been reduced and Towsure have put their price up.
This one on Ebay may be worth a punt. there is some damage to it with one of the arms bent, but it should be easily repaired by a fabrication shop. It looks like it just needs a length of box section cutting off and replacing. It may even be possible to straighten it out if you can warm it up with an oxy acetylene torch.
No I'm not selling it, but would certainly consider buying it if I was in the market for one and anywhere near Wakefield.

Dave, im new to this site & caravanning, i noticed you just bought a super sirocco? we bought the same van brand new this year, we love it for our first van, its good to talk to someone with the same outfit. i noticed on one of your posts you were looking for a porch awning? we just bought an isabella minor awing with carbon poles for our super sirocco, i can have it up in 5 minutes, its class mate, we bought a brand new Bradcot active full awning, used it twice, mint condition, now were selling it as the mrs wants an isabella.
Im also looking at getting a motor mover but didnt know what to get for the super sirocco, sounds like the one you have is the one.
thanks everyone wefinally decided on the powrtouch as it has such good reports also 5 yrs parta and labour costs free we looked around for the cheapest and gglossop caravans price matched it so we decided to get it from them they have organised a fitter to come next week thanks to everyone for the replies its much appreciated
I have the original enduro which is now on my second van,. which you wind onto the tyre. The latest enduros now work in the same way as the powertouch with a lever applying a preset pressure on the tyre. With the original enduro if for any reason the rollers do not grip you can wind on harder.Though mine has never given any problems i would consider the ego if i needed to replace it as that works on the same principle as the original enduro
