I pack my own personal things and she packs her own. That way there's no arguments because if there's anything forgotten it's then our own fault. She just packs the other items such as the first aid box etc. but then we have a main list for all the essential items so nothing important gets left behind.

We do exactly the same. Last time I forgot my socks!!!!!
We do our own but it is down to me to make sure the essentials are in,. I also have to check he hasn't put too much in, he has been known to take 14 tops for one weekend.
I pack my clothes plus all the outside equipment. The little lady packes her own clothes plus all the inside stuff. Tick everything off a list so nothing gets left behind

------------- If you're not on a fell your wasting your feet and for 2014 it's.......Feb Castleton Mar North Yors Moors; Apr Sutton on Sea; May Thirsk; Jun Clapham/Riverside (Lakes); July Wharfedale; August Crakehall; Sept Knaresborough; Oct Wirral Park/Clitheroe
We have a master list, but I tend to get together all the 'inside' stuff including things like awning heater and awning hangy things etc whic live under the rear bunks. I make up the kids bunks, put our bedding in and do mine and the kids clothes and all the food, kids toys and other bits and pieces. I would do OHs clothes but he's fussier than he thinks he is so I wouldn't get it right anyway.
OH does all the big stuff from the garage shelves, like tables and cadac, awning, TV etc.
I am a stay at home mum though and the caravan is on the drive so I do enjoy popping in and out of it getting it ready - all part of the anticipation of going away.
OH does his own clothes but I do everything else, apart from last minute positioning of awning, food box and water etc before we set off. Oh, and I discovered last trip that its actually MY job to nip into the van and switch the van fridge from electric to battery even though OH has actually disconnected the cable done the main switches and hitched up. (That argument started in a layby in Wales, with ice cream seeping out of the freezer compartment, before the awning was even out of the bag!)

That sounds rather like myself as I always tend to take too many clothes but with the British weather you never know if it's going to warm or cold so we men have to be prepared for the occassion. You know what I mean sunshine!

My OH is so like that!!! If anything gets forgotten or goes wrong you can guarantee he will trace it back to something having been my responsibility!!
The only thing we need to pack is our own personal stuff. The awning, groundsheet and if we take it, the awning fridge travels in the car, so I sort that. Everything else is in the van at the start of the season until we decide thats the end until another year - I make sure of that with my detailed organised lists. When we come back from a trip, things like towels, bedding etc is washed and goes straight back in for next time. We came back from summer hols at the end of August. The van is now all ready for our next trip in October. All we need to do is to take our personal item/clothes over - we all take responsibility for our own. We may take a tiny bit of food and drink, but we generally go shopping as soon as we arrive on site. OH sorts out this bit of food.
i do all the caravan and car stuff and my better half does the washing, packing and the food buying.BUT i once left a lot of raw meat packages £25 worth in the fridge.i had silent meals for two days.lol.rang a friend who had a key and told him to eat it all.what have you forgotten?
