Well we had our first week away with our new van, The awning went up without any swearing from the other half, plenty from me when I hit my hand with the mallet. Although she did cry when the awning pole fellon her head and nose when we took it down, I'll be buying her a safety helmet for next time!!!

We did find a few problem with the caravan but the dealer will be sorting those for us, such as the door not locking until you slam it shut, the toilet not holding liquid in the bowl and so not ben able to flush it away, (think that may be a problem with the seals), adn some damage to the awning rail which we hadn't seen previously.

Just got a question to ask people the caravan has a Truma blown air system, no we were told if you move the slide across to 'A' and select a tempreature setting it will heat up and then switch off, no I thought this might work like the climate control in my car, ie, it will blow a gale until it gets near the tempreature set and then calm down, the one in the caravan is like an asthmatic blowing through a straw all the time. Is this right??? we can get it to blow faster by moving the slide accross to the flame symbol but I didn't think that was the pont.

many thanks for your help in advance please

  Rob

Tips re using the toilet........

1. Open flap at base of bowl before lifting lid.
2. Use toilet, more or less everything passes directly
   into holding tank.
3. Flush as required.
4. Close lid.
5. Close flap at base of bowl.

Using this method will keep the bowl cleaner, and avoid getting any unpleasant splash-up in your face when opening/closing the flap.
