We recently had a browse round a local caravan dealer and liked the layout of the Swift Challenger sport 544 (is this taking over from the Charisma 545?) and also the Sterling Europa 545, both have an end bathroom but have a side 'c' dinette which we thought would be handy to sometimes leave made up into a bed rather than have a permanent fixed bed van.

My question is, is there much difference between the two makes? I know they are both the Swift group but is it just down to preference of soft furnishings etc?

Does anyone have either of the above models and do you leave the dinette made up as a bed?

They are basically the same van but differ in how they look both externally and the interior. We had a couple of Sterling vans but when our local dealer closed down we purchased a dealer special Charisma which I understand will now be known as the Challenger Sport. We have a fixed bed with a rear bathroom which we like as it keeps the sleeping area separate from the living area (we use it as a 2 berth) I would have thought that if you are going to leave it made up as a bed you would be better off with the 554 as you will get a better mattress.

David,we were originally looking at the fixed bed vans but as there are sometimes three of us we thought that having the option of leaving the seating area made up as a bed when there were only two of us, was a better lay out.....still time to change our minds again though!
