I am trying to clean the fly screens in the roof lights of our caravan. The one above the cooker is stained and I don't know what is best to use to remove the stains. I have tried a biological washing powder but it didn't really do much. Any suggestions please?

What sort of fly sreens are you dealing with?  Are you talking roller fabric type, or rigid plastic mesh?

Hi brianjose,

The fly screens are not on a roller but they are of a similar type of material. They are glued around the edge of the roof light which is why I am worried about what to sue to clean them.

The trouble is that if you are too rough with it or try and soak it the netting could come away from the surround. When we have cleaned that type of netting we usually hold something solid underneath and use a small scrubbing brush. Alternatively they are not massively expensive so perhaps buying a new one might not be out of the question? A good caravan accessory chop should have a choice but don't forget to take the old one to check the size.

Thank you all for replying so quickly, They don't look so bad now they are dry, but I will keep in mind that they are not too expensive to replace.
