My caravan is now 4 years old and thought it might be a good idea to silcone the roof seals to the awning rail and the where the roof joins front and back. Looks a nice job - no water will ever get in. Does anybody else feel this is a good idea or are you all happy to leave it alone?

You should not have used silicone meant for the house you should have used sikaflex..look here at a repair and read at the bottom what was used..Click

Silicone is not for long term weatherproofing.I would stick to a proper caravan sealant as mentioned.maybe a bit late now..
