Hi everyone,

As stated i have an old 1992 bailey majenta cd caravan, 2 berth, which on the whole is still in very good condition, apart from the casette toilet, i will try to explain the problem the best i can........... here goes,

When filling the flush water (pink), the next morning i get up, all this fluid is in the bottom of the casette, obviously a leak, on close examination i can see the leak at the bottom of the sight glass.

Now looking at thetfords website it looks to me as if there should be a

45. Drain connector as stated on the c2 diagram.

But for some reason there just seems to be what you might call caravan sealant, the sealant that stays soft, which would be used on say awning rails joints etc.

Now for my question, does this seem normal and can the part listed above still be purchased.

Many thanks john

Try ringing the customer support at Thetford as I found they were very helpful.

Leisure shop direct sell spares and they also may be able to help.

If you are describing what I think you are describing then it is just a piece of pipe that acts as a level sight glass and a drain. It clips up at high level normally to remain full, but you unclip it and let it drop down to drain. You could probably use a piece of clear pipe to do it if you can find a length at the correct diameter.

Thanks davecoaches,

but the sightglass pipe is in good condition, its just looking at the diagram i'm sure there should be a manufactured seal as indicated in the c2 diagram and not the soft caravan sealer as mentioned, i'll take another look this weekend and see if i have anymore options.

thanks john
