If it is the same as a Lunar I had the pipes carrying warm air from the heater area went outside under the van and this cooled the air down before being blown through the system . I put insulation on the outside pipes and that helped.
I have a 2004 lexon fixed bed. The heating works by ensuring the master switch is on. Should be under a bench and will be labelled up as ultraheat or space heater. Rotate the black dial to the right temperature and move the slider (around the black dial) to the desired wattage. On the top of the fire you should then see 2 more dials. One on the right which will be numbered 1-10. This is for the gas and there will be another on the left also number (I think 1-7). Under that dial there will be a switch marked A (a dot in the middel) and then a picture of a flame on the right. When you want the heat to come out of the fire leave it on the dot. When using the blow air heating slide it to A and when using the blow air on the gas slide it to the picture of the flame. The numbered dial above that switch controls the fan speed. I would allow the heat exchanger to warm up for about 30mins though before switching the heating to blow air. Hope this helps.
