Hi TKMAXX, Cant help with the code, you may want to take your own lunch coffee/tea with you, have found coffee/tea £2.50- £3.00 and undrinkable, 2 teas,2 scones £10. Car park charges at these venues £5 per car, blue badge holders also pay the £5 car park fee, You will enjoy looking at all the new vans, leave the credit card/cheque book at home just in case!!!!!!!!!!!!

£6 parking if you mean the Glasgow show, jhsw, but I think TKMAXX may mean the ExCeL event, where admission apparently includes parking "subject to availability"?!
I'm not going to either - still sulking about the NEC one being cancelled.

Hi Bob, yes it was the Glasgow show, the hire of the centre to the exhibitors is so high its inevitably passed on to the visitors, last time I attended the show all the caravans were in circles (thought I was in America wild west preparing for an Indian attack), and to look at other side of van you had to either step over the A frame, or view it from the next stand it was so crammed, in the small space allocated to caravans/ motor homes/ camping. Noticed a few disable parking spaces at front and rear of the building, other disable spaces were over 500 yards away from entrance, you would have needed a bus to get from car to doors. Tea/coffee was vile (think it was the powdered kind, food just as bad). Definitely will not be going back there.
Wonder, if no car at the ExCel event, do you still pay the same price for a ticket?
NEC event, can’t understand the logic of Centres putting up the hire of the hall, when there is a recession on, you would think the Centres would be glad that their hall was bringing in some revenue, instead of the organizer having to cancel the venue because of high renting space, and the Centres loss a lot of cash as a result seams ludicrous to me.

Yes, I imagine that having arranged to hold their 2012 and 2013 events at the NEC, Ocean Media might be charged a cancellation fee?
TKMAXX, haven't come across any discount codes yet, but there have been free draws on this site for the recent NCC NEC show, as well as the Scottish and Manchester ones and the January ExCeL Outdoors Show, so keep checking the Competitions page!
Apparently there are discount codes in all the Motorhome magazines (might have to have a browse through!) and the Caravan Club and Caravan & Camping Club members have codes as well.
Thanks anyway!

If you are after a ferry code, when you get it (the week of the show), ring CC up the same week - last year they bought their prices down lower than the code, for the duration of the show. It's worth checking to see if it happens again. Keep a watch out for post on the 'Camping and Caravanning Abroad' section. ValA is usually fairly quick of the mark in posting the code. When you have a price with the code, ring up CC during the week to check their prices.
