Hi recently got a caravan, parked in our driveway as we are doing some work to it. But would love to park it some were, that we still have full acsess to go at weekends. Looking for somewere no more than 1 hours drive from Glasgow. Any advice much appreciated.
Hi, there is a place near Uddingston, you can see it from the M73 near to the M74. Ther is also a place in Biggar Road in Cleland, Lanarkshire, Scott's Autos I think its called, I think its less than £200 for the year.
An hour from Glasgow, north, south, east or west, can you be more specific or do you live slap bang in the middle of the city? I can recommend a great place in Renfrewshire.
Hi arlene43, There are a couple in the Righead trading estate near the Matt Busby centre in Bellshill, there is also one on the Airdrie Cumbernauld road next to Rowan Timbers saw mill in Airdrie, don’t know names of storage yards, Storage right behind the auto car wash, this car wash also washes caravans, Do Not Be Tempted to have van washed there, they are Cowboys and wash vans with pressure hoses at full blast, stand on roofs, dislodge the seals from vans. Sorry don’t know any of the Storage yard names, did have them but gave to friend, who has since displaced them.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
Wow thanks for replies, DOBSONK im not too bother'd about 1 hour north or east of glasgow, i live south side of just as long as we have chance to get away most weekends, thanks Tracy for info, if its £200 a year, with all year acsess im laughing.Jhsw will look into. Thanks again i feel i have spent weeks searching, but not finding what we are looking for.xxxxx
Are you looking for storage, i.e. a place just to store the van, or a seasonal pitch, i.e. a site to keep the van on where you can go and stay in it whenever you wish?
Jennifernn, thats it couldnt work out what to type, we are looking for a site to keep the van on so we can go and stay when ever we wish. But still secured, not that we have a rilliant caravan, but new to it and would like to repair our diddiums.

I reckon the ones jhsw was giving you are storage yards, so you can discount them.
A seasonal pitch will be a lot more than £200 unfotunately.
Hi and thanks again Jenn and Hackshaw, camped in Muirkirk under canavas,(have review), it is an option, will bear in mind, got rid of landrover yet to get tow bar fitted to Audi, so hitching up just now is a small problem as well as some minor repairs.
