Due to my dodgy back I`ve been thinking of buying some memory foam to lay over the mattress in our van...Has anybody done anything similar and can anyone recommend a supplier? Thanks
A lot on here use memory foam toppers and swear by them,as far as the full size memory bed matress is concered well it wrecked my back more.If your cutting foam use an electric knife if youve got one makes a first class cut.
We have a memory foam mattress at home. And have toppers in the caravan, personaly i have a much more comfortable sleep with memory foam. Beds in the caravan are really hard so toppers soften them. Not sure if they will ease your back but you will get a better nights sleep!
I bought a kingsize topper and cut in half with a large pair of sissors. Have 2 perfect singles now at practically half the cost!

I brought mine from poundstretcher £40 for a double it rolls nicely back into its bag. Surprised me how much difference it made to my comfort as I wasn't expecting a thin topper to help much as I sleep on a thick full memory foam mattress at home.
I suffer with a bad back after an accident at work. My son gave us a memory foam mattress for our bed at home and its great, we got a topper for our fixed bed in the tourer from tk maxx same result. we got a single topper for the front bed for our little niece and she loves it sleeps like a log so they get the thumbs up from me.

We got ours from B & M stores, a kingsized I think. I put it in to a kingsized duvet cover and just throw it on the bed. No bother at all. In the morning I roll it up and store it on our spare top bunk. Nice and comfy and a lot easier than trying to fit a sheet on the bed at night.
Hi, have 2 of the memory foam mattresses got them from aldi/lidl few years ago £25 for the 2, great, also got the self inflating air beds used for tents 2 for £30 they are pretty good as well.

If in Doubt Check it Out.
we have 2' 8" x 1" memory foam toppers in their own luxury covers (bought off ebay), the covers come off for washing and no messing with sheets etc and they also have elastic on the corners to grip the van seating, so no moving about. and I just lay them out of the way, under the seating during the day.
We have a 3" topper on our home bed and I hate it, we had a 2" topper previously and I thought that the extra 1" would be more luxurious, but it loses support, so I found the 2" at home better, so will be changing again.
the 1" is ok in the van, but possibly 1.5 - 2" would be ideal
I have a back injury, so I couldnt go back to sleeping without one
Depending on how much you want to spend we would reccomend the Raskelf Duvalays. They are a memory foam base and quilt all in one and roll up for easy storage.......we both say they are one on the best things we have brought for the van!!

Totally agree - the best ever! If anyone was interested I'm afraid you've just missed the usual November sale - don't know if they'll do it again next year now they've been on Dragons Den.
